At age 40 following her first mammogram this patient was diagnosed with breast cancer and immediately underwent bilateral mastectomy. 4 months following her mastectomy and approximately a month after completing her chemotherapy, the patient was referred to us for a delayed breast reconstruction. Dr. Poulter began her reconstruction process with revision of the excess skin left from her mastectomy and the placement of a saline tissue expander. This was followed with serial fills of the expanders until we reached a size that patient was most comfortable with. We placed a high profile 700cc silicone implant in each breast that gave her a very youthful and natural shape. She finished her breast reconstruction with 3D nipple tattooing and is back to enjoying life and all her activities.
