This 44-year-old woman was referred to Dr. Poulter by a general surgeon after diagnosing cancer of the left breast. A thorough review of her medical history and discussion of the techniques for breast reconstruction answered many questions she had. Implant expander type reconstruction was performed along with subsequent office visits to fill her expander. She returned after several months of chemotherapy for placement of a 716cc silicone gel implant at which time the left breast pocket was revised to provide a better shape to the breast. To create chest wall symmetry a right breast reduction was performed followed by left nipple reconstruction and tattooing.
