This 50-year-old woman was referred to Dr. Poulter after being diagnosed with breast cancer. After meeting with Dr. Poulter to thoroughly review her medical history and options for treatment, she underwent a left mastectomy with expander placement. Her expander was filled with saline over the course of several weeks until it reached the size she desired. After allowing proper time for settling, her saline expander was replaced with a softer 547cc silicone gel filled implant. Six weeks later a 457cc gel implant was used to augment her right breast to create symmetry. Her final step to complete her reconstruction will be left nipple reconstruction and tattoo. She was very pleased to be able to enlarge the size and enhance the shape of her breasts during her reconstruction process.
