This 59 year old patient comes to us seeking an exchange of implants. She had breast augmentation in 2007 with saline implants elsewhere. She recently experienced a rupture of her right saline implant. The patient liked the size of her breasts, however she feels like they droop. She would like to stay as close to her size that she is now. The patient and Dr. Poulter decided to use the smooth round cohesive gel extra projection implant for the augmentation. With the SCX implant it will give the patient more outward projection in a smaller implant to limit the size increase that routinely accompanies removal/replacement of implants following rupture, especially for saline implants. We were able to keep her close to her previous size. The patient is very happy with her results.
