This 52 year old was diagnosed with right breast cancer following a biopsy of a suspicious lump found during her routine breast self-exam. She is very active and enjoys riding her motorcycle so when considering breast cancer reconstruction options she felt most confident with Dr. Poulter’s recommendation of tissue expander reconstruction as it would disrupt her upper body strength for controlling her bike less that a muscle flap reconstruction. This patient underwent extensive chemotherapy treatments and was able to have her permanent silicone 800 cc high profile implant placed 6 months after her initial surgery.
